FlickrVision is a mash-up between Google Maps and Flickr that allows you to view some of the most recent photos in the world based on their geographic location.  It's a creation of David Troy who also created a site caller TwitterVision.

At the very least it's a great time waster.  At the most it's a way to passively observe the growth of the internet.  Give it a try!  And check out the 3D Version also.
